Software
At Mecatec Design we use 3D modeling and 2D drafting CAD programs.
These are updated regularly to ensure we work with only the latest
tools.
The CAD Software design environment includes a broad range of
solutions for
the design of complex mechanical products. It is based around
a solid parametric
model from which assemblies can be made.
Assembly arrangements enable us to create models that accurately
represent
components in alternate positions. These assemblies and parts
can be
rendered to provide a true picture.
Parametric
modeling accelerates
design modifications so that changes can be made easily.
After a model is completed the data can be used to generate a machining
program
on a CAM system,
to create a rapid prototype,
or even to run simulation on a CAE program.
In most cases the 3D models are used to create 2D drawings for the
workshop.
Once the drawings have been made, a BOM
(Bill of Material) can also be generated.
